Nobody does it better! Our staff are top people who are selected after a rigorous selection progress following a written application, a lengthy interview and references. They are trained in accordance with principles and practices outlined by the YMCA, the American Camp Association and the State of New York. Our team is created to best represent camp values and our programs.

Hi I’m Dani Ersalesi and I’m the Day Camp Director and outdoor Education Program Coordinator at the New York YMCA Camp! I went to Ramapo College of New Jersey and have a degree in Environmental Studies and minors in Environmental Topics and Anthropology. I’ve been at camp for 4 ½ years now. In my free time I enjoy hiking, gardening, and being outside!

Hi I'm Kristen Smith and I am 21 years old and studying Nursing at Binghamton University. This will be my second summer at camp and I'm so excited! I love helping put together the camp newspaper and going for hikes!

I’m Brendan Rearer and I am 20 years old and a student. I started at camp when I was a camper so I've been here for 14 years and I love coming back! In my spare time I like camping, skateboarding, and walking to my destinations!

Hi I’m Carly Savino and I'm 20 years old and a student at the University at Albany where I study Psychology and Education. This is my second year at camp and I love it, especially arts and crafts. This is my first year and the Program Coordinator and I can’t wait! In my spare time I like to go running and enjoy traveling to new places!

Hi I’m Molly Bernhardsen and I’m 18 years old and studying psychology at Binghamton University. This is my first year at camp, but I'm really excited for the summer to start! In my free time I enjoy kayaking and running.

I'm Emily Rudy, I'm from Port Jervis, NY and am currently studying music at Orange County Community College. I love making music and being around kids, and love every learning experience that they give me! I'm excited for my second summer at the Y.

Hi my name's Rob Maskara and I’m 20 years old. I am currently a student at Mansfield University and am a nursing major. This will be my third summer working at day camp and I’m very excited! During my free time I like to play all kinds of sports and watch movies.

Hi I'm Andrew Magnemi and I'm from Westbrookville NY, I am studying Political Science with a Public Justice Minor. I love snowboarding and my favorite part of camp is being outside with the campers and having a good time, this is my second year at camp and I can't wait!
Krystal Cable
Hello I am Krystal Cable and am 21, I live in Port Jervis and don't picture myself leaving here. I currently am a Junior at Mercy College studying to become an Elementary teacher. I absolutely love camp, it's a family away from home and seeing the children grow and learn has got to be one of my favorite parts of camp. This is my second summer working here and I can't wait to make the children's summer a pretty interesting one.
