Outdoor Education: Mission and Core Values

Our holistic approach develops programs that meet the individual needs of each school and student. We believe that all schools should have an outdoor education experience, and work to ensure trips fits within their budget – no school should be turned away based on our fees.

The Y’s four core values in practice:

• Students will demonstrate the values of caring and respect through their interactions with each other in the dining hall, dorms, and classes. 
• The value of responsibility will be implemented in the dining hall process as students take turns setting and cleaning tables at each meal. They also are responsible for taking care of and cleaning their cabins on a daily basis. 
• The students will practice honesty in taking responsibility for their action while on the trip. Our staff who will model honesty in their teaching and approach to their interactions with the students.
