Teambuilding
We are known for creating teambuilding programs designed for each group's unique needs and specific goals.
Our teambuilding facility and programs are used by schools, community organizations, family reunions, small businesses and corporations. Working with our staff, participants develop:
- Communication through discussions based on YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility
- Trust and support for each member of the group
- Cooperation skills through solving group problems
- Individual and group goal setting skills
- Character and leadership skills through discussion and feedback
Staff are trained to actively facilitate each part of the program while allowing the group's dynamics and personalities to lead the group's direction. Our staff trains throughout the year, to continually improve facilitating techniques and teambuilding activities to better reach the goals of each group we serve.

New Games, Initiatives, Ice Breakers
These quick, fun activities help group members mingle, laugh and feel more comfortable with each other. Individuals in each group get to know each other and start building the bonds, which will lead to their later success.
Teambuilding Elements
Greenkill has three separate teambuilding courses providing groups with privacy and limited distractions. While elements may be physically and mentally challenging, they are designed to include every group member. Each element is designed with problems to solve that require teams to work together and communicate.
Low Ropes Course
Greenkill’s Low Ropes Course consists of elements designed to challenge groups and individuals. Participants are given a challenge by choice and set personal goals depending on individual comfort levels. Groups learn to respect each other's decisions while encouraging one another to expand their comfort zone.
Climbing Tower (outdoors) Climbing Wall (indoors)
Greenkill’s climbing activities are for ages 10 and older. Prior to climbing, all participants are instructed in safety procedures and outfitted with a climbing harness and helmet. The structure is 30’ tall with handholds strategically placed to create a challenging climb. These activities involve a certain degree of coordination and athleticism. Individual accomplishments are supported by team encouragement.
High Ropes Course
Greenkill’s High Ropes Course is for ages 12 and older. This outdoor course takes participants 40’ into the tree tops to walk across cables, swings and nets with a zip line at the end. Prior to any course involvement, all participants are instructed in safety and proper equipment handling. Each participant is outfitted with a climbing harness and helmet and must wear closed-toe shoes. Due to the nature of the course, this activity is limited to 15 people and will take four hours.
