Our Experienced Staff

Hazel Goldstein – Camp Director
Hazel has been part of the World Volleyball Training Center since 2008 and loves every minute of it! Following three years as assistant director – she is pleased to follow in the footsteps of long time Director Steve Henry and bring her own style and energy to the position of Camp Director.  She is the Club Director for Kaepa Whoosh Volleyball Club overseeing all aspects of the organization. Whoosh holds practices and tournaments in our field house and enjoy being able to use 6 courts with the twelve teams they field each season.

Hazel is a PAVO volleyball official and officiates at scholastic and collegiate contests and championships. She has been privliedged to officiate at the New York State Girls Championships numerous times and is Secretary- Treasurer of the Mid Hudson Board of Volleyball officials. She serves as the Juniors Director for the Irouquios Empire Volleyball Region and represents the region at the JYOVD Board of USA Volleyball. In addition she sits on the structure and function committee and elite commission of USA Volleyball.

Hazel is married to John and they have two children – Jackie and husband Lev , and Brian and fiancée Joanna. Officially a costume designer by day – she is a volleyball person all the time!  Hazel is involved with her church and community and enjoys all the pleasures of life here in the Hudson Valley.

Christopher Feliciano – Technical Director
Christopher has been part of the World Volleyball Training Center for nine summers. Coach Chris started as a court coach and was named Select Head coach in 2008. In 2011 Coach Chris became the Technical Director   at the World Volleyball Training Center and did an outstanding job!

Coach Chris is the Head Coach at Rider University in Lawrenceville, NJ and is looking forward to leading the Broncs to successful seasons in the Metro Athletic Conference.

Prior to his tenure at Rider, Coach Chris served as an assistant coach for Fordham University, and was the Head Coach at New Jersey City University – compiling a 117-28 record. During his tenure at NJCU he was named Conference Coach of the Year and also named the 2009 AVCA Top Coach Under 30 Award.

 Coach Chris  served as the 16 National Head coach and mentor  with Atlantic Valley Volleyball Club  and worked in the Newark  Public Schools as a seventh grade language arts teacher.

Melissa Baccari -Select Head Coach
Coach Melissa became Select Head Coach at the World Volleyball Training Center in 2011. She brings tremendous experience and skill to her role as Select Head Coach  and our campers appreciated her dedication and drive.
Coach Melissa is a graduate of Mercy College with a degree in Criminal Justice. Currently Coach Melissa is the assistant coach at Rider University.  She has been part of Downstate Juniors Volleyball Club where she served as Head Coach for the U17 team which earned a bid to the 2011 Junior National Championships.Coach Melissa has worked with the GEVA High Performance team and also coached an U 12 team for Downstate Juniors.

Each year we seek out the most qualified coaches available to bring their expertise to the World Volleyball Training Center. Our coaches are from all around the world, bringing their own unique style of coaching to our campers. Coaches work together and share their experiences to make camp the best possible learning atmosphere for our campers- while making sure that fun is a part of the package!
