What is Men's Sport & Adventure Weekend?
Men's Weekend takes place at the Greenkill Retreat Center. Located in the foothills of the Catskill Mountains, New York YMCA Camp’s 1,150 acres of pristine wilderness is a collection of beautiful lakes, streams, waterfalls, ridges, vistas and miles of hiking trails. Set between the historical villages, hamlets and towns of the Neversink and Delaware River, our lush green forest is home to deer, turkeys, foxes, many species of bird and aquatic life.
A committee of health & wellness professionals from YMCA branches program the weekend to focus on physical activities as well as compelling educational workshops addressing the multi-dimensions of men's health and wellness.

Weekend Meals
Camp's food service is in the forefront of the YMCA's Activate America initiatives. We support a healthy lifestyle in the foods we serve. We offer fresh fruits in our breakfast bar to include fresh strawberries, blueberries (when in season), cantaloupe, and honeydew along with canned fruits. In addition, we offer fresh vegetables on our salad bars for lunch and dinner and a vegetarian option to create a well balanced diet.
Over the past two years we have been reducing the fat and sugar in our menu while providing meals that guests will enjoy. Our pastas are now made with whole wheat. All oil is zero trans fat oil. We use lean meat in our menu items like ground turkey and turkey hot dogs. We are currently moving away from items like Danish and donuts, which have high fructose corn syrup, to homemade items like banana and pumpkin breads and a variety of muffins made with whole-wheat flour.
We can accommodate dietary needs to include vegetarians and guests with food-borne allergies. If you have any questions please feel free to contact our Food Service Director, Steve Sumnick at ssumnick@ymcanyc.org.
